Documentary in Europe is a non-profit cultural association founded in 1997 in Turin. Our aim is to enhance, promote and divulge documentary cinema. We open the door of the international documentary film market to authors, film makers and producers.

We organize the annual events ‘Documentary in Europe Workshop’ and the film showcase ‘Settimana del Documentario’. We also arrange seminars for young people and professionals and manage the ‘Superottimisti Archive’.

Documentary in Europe is a project started by F.E.R.T. (Filming with a European Regard in Turin), but, since 2000, is an independent association.

Since 1997 Documentary in Europe has collaborated with EDN (EUROPEAN DOCUMENTARY NETWORK), the European net of documentarists based in Copenhagen. EDN gathers about 1000 members, among them, producers, distributors, tv networks and film industry professionals.
